Manchester Station 1
The Manchester Fire Department is located just outside the Kansas border in far northwest Grant County. The department operates 7 frontline apparatus out of two stations located across the street from each other. The community is a population of 100 people.
Station 1 houses all of the departments first due pieces as well as a small training room.
Engine 77 - 1997 Freightliner/KME, GSO #3339 - 1750 Waterous/1500 Tank - Diesel/Auto - ex-Northville, MI
Brush 74 - 2009 Freightliner/J&J - 250 CET/1800 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Brush 72 - 2017 Ford F550/2008 Blanchat - 200 Hale/400 Tank - Gas/Auto The bed to Brush 72 was originally on Rescue 70 but was removed so the rescue build could be completed. The bed was remounted by Blanchat.
Brush 71 - 2021 Ram 5500/2011 Blanchat/2022 J&J - 200 Hale/500 Tank - Diesel/Auto The bed to Brush 71 originally was mounted on a 2011 Ford that was destroyed during a fire. The remount and new upfit was done by J&J Fire in Pawnee.
Rescue 70 - 2008 Ford F350/2017 MFD - 100 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto As seen above, this used to be a brush pumper but the bed was placed on a newer unit. Department members built the current bed to respond to accidents and medical calls.
