Mulhall Station 1
The Mulhall Fire Department is located in northern Logan County and operates 8 apparatus out of one station, including a three-bay addition behind the building pictured above. The department protects a population of 225 and covers an area of 100 sq miles. The department responds to approx. 80 calls a year and currently has 20 volunteers.
Engine 1 - 2010 Freightliner/Ferrara, Prod. #H4187 - 1250 Hale/2500 Tank - Diesel/Auto - ex-Sunrise, MS
Purchased by the department in 2014, Engine 1 acts as the departments primary engine but can act as a tanker if needed. The apparatus does have placards from Missouri Fire Apparatus, a company who mainly rebuilds fire apparatus after accidents, although I am not sure of the history of this truck.
Engine 2 - 1988 Pierce Arrow, Job #E3855-01 - 1250 Waterous/1000 Tank - Diesel/Auto - ex-Las Cruces, NM (Shop #17772), ex-Chelsea, ex-Meridian, OK
Out of service at the time of our 2024 visit, this truck is second out for in town fires.
Tanker 1 - 1996 Freightliner/2003 Emergency Equipment Services (OKC) - 300 Waterous/4000 Tank - Diesel/Manual
Purchased in 2003, Tanker 1 mainly acts as the departments rural tanker.
Truck 210 - 2008 Ford F350/MFD - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto
Truck 210 is usually last out for grass fires.
Truck 310 - 2006 Ford F350/MFD - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Truck 310 will respond to smaller reported grass fire and will also respond to EMS assist calls.
Truck 610 - 1993 Stewart-Stevenson/2023 J&J - 150 CET/750 Tank - Diesel/Auto
The newest addition to the department, Truck 610 is first out for most grass fires at the MFD. This truck was built by J&J Custom Fire in Pawnee.
Truck 810 - 2010 Freightliner/2015 J&J - 150 CET/1650 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Truck 810 is the pride of the department and is often seen at public events.
Truck 910 - 1993 Stewart-Stevenson/2020 Alpha One - 200 Hale/1200 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Truck 910 was a first of its kind build for Alpha One and usually responds alongside the departments other Stewart-Stevenson.
