Deer Creek Station 2
Completed in 2015, Station 2 covers the east side of the district. This station is staffed at night by volunteers.
Engine 2 - 2010 Pierce Contender PUC, Job #23301 - 1500/750 - Diesel/Auto
Formerly Engine 1, this truck is now the first out engine at Station 2
Engine 22 - 1999 International/Pierce, Job #ED574 - 1250/1000 - Diesel/Auto
Serving as both Engine 1 & Engine 2 in the past, this truck now acts as the departments reserve engine. Even though it may not have A/C, it is still a solid piece of equipment for the department
Tanker 2 - 2008 Kenworth/Pierce, Job #? - 500/2500 - Diesel/Auto - ex-Tanker 1
Tanker 1 is first out tanker for Station 2, It was not in service at the time of our 2023 visit.
Brush Pumper 2 - 2019 Ford F550/Skeeter - 105/430 - Diesel/Auto
Previously Brush Pumper 1, this truck is now the first out brush pumper at Station 2
Brush Pumper 4 - 1972 AM General/2009 DCFPD - 125/800 - Diesel/Auto
Received by the department in 2009, Brush Pumper 4 has become a staple at the DCFPD. After a brush pumper suffered catastrophic damage at a fire in 2009, many if its parts were transferred to this truck to modernize it into the truck it is today. Although it only makes less than 10 calls a year, it is definitely needed at each of those calls. Recently it was deployed to the Simpson Road Fire in late March, and did a few water rescues across the district this spring. In a department that is growing and updating so quickly, there are no plans of getting rid of this over 50 year old beast any time soon.
