Fairview Station 1
Founded in 1903, the Fairview Fire Department operates out of one station built in 1995 and has two paid personnel Mon-Fri 8am-4pm to supplement the 18 volunteer or part time personnel including the Chief. The department covers an area of 202 sq miles and protects a population of around 2800.
Engine 1 - 2016 Pierce Saber, Job #29608TR-01 - 1500 Hale/1000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Engine 1 is first out for any fire call within city limits. It will also respond with Rescue 1 to any accident inside city limits.
Engine 12 - 2021 Freightliner/Pierce, Job #34861TR-01 - 1500 Waterous/1000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Engine 12 is first out for any fire call outside of city limits. It will also respond with Rescue 1 to any accident outside city limits. Engine 12 is equipped with a hydraulic set of extrication equipment. Currently shown as Engine 2, due to multiple different "Engine 2" units in the county, the department wants to avoid any confusion on the radio.
Ladder 1 - 2007 Pierce Velocity, Job #19515 - 1500 Waterous/500 Tank/75’ Stick - Diesel/Auto - Ex - Edmond, OK
Previously serving as Edmond Quint 2, Fairview purchased this truck in early 2023. After some fairly extensive repairs and a new vinyl wrap, this truck entered service in April of 2023 as Ladder 1. Previously, the closest aerial device was over 40 miles away in Enid. Ladder 1 responds with Engine 1 & Chief 1 to any working fire in the city limits of Fairview. It is also assigned to any working commercial fire in Major County
Tanker 1 - 2009 Frieghtliner/2023 Northwest Fabrication - 150 Hale/3000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Completed in the fall of 2023, Tanker 1 formerly served Major County Dist. 1 as a dozer transport for wildfires. This tanker is equipped with a much more user friendly automatic transmission, remote controlled bumper turret, and much more reliable offroad capabilities. Tanker 1 will respond first out with M16 to any reported grass fire.
M-12 - 2015 Chevy 3500HD/Bramco/Chief - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto
M12 is second out for grass fires. This is also the designated brush pumper for the Major County Task Force. A lift and bigger tires are in store for this truck to match M16 and to provide more functionality in the rough western Oklahoma terrain.
M-16 - 2017 Chevy 3500HD/Bramco/Chief - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto
M16 is first out for all grass fires. With the addition of a front monitor, this truck can be operated alone by the driver. Bramco, a business local to Fairview, custom built the bed for both brush pumpers and Chief Fire & Safety installed the skid unit and outfitted the rest of the units
Rescue 1 - 2008 Chevrolet/Neel - Diesel/Auto
Rescue 1 first out for any accident in Fairview's response area. This truck is equipped with electric extrication tools. The body of this truck was remounted from a 2000 Chevy 3500.
Rescue 18 - 1991 Ford/SWAB - Diesel/Auto - ex-Quakertown, PA
Rescue 18 operates as Fairview's heavy rescue. With an extra hydraulic extrication set and extensive cribbing, this truck is equipped to respond to any major extrication or structural collapse. In addition, this truck is equipped with a cascade system and will respond to any extended working fire to act as a rehab and bottle fill unit
Squad 1 - 2007 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 - Gas/Auto - ex-Fairview Police, OK
Formerly serving as a Fairview PD unit, Squad 1 is used by the on-duty personnel to respond to medicals. Although mainly staying within Fairview's fire district, this unit does mutual aid other departments if there is no response for medical calls
Chief 1 - 2023 Chevy 2500 - Gas/Auto
Completed in Fall of 2023, Chief 1 operates as Fairview's command unit. Able to be operated by any lieutenant or higher, this unit can run command of any scene and with outfitting by MEU in OKC, a simple push of a button turns on 360 green command lighting for the large incidents Major County departments often run. This truck also carries hand tools, SCBA, and extra foam for car or tank battery fires
