Hardesty Station 1
The Hardesty Fire Department is located in southeast Texas County and operates 5 apparatus out of one station. The department covers an area of 310 sq miles and protects a population of 260. The department responds to approx. 35 calls a year and currently has 10 volunteers.
603 - 1996 Ford F350/Chief - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Diesel/Manual
605 - 2014 Ford F550/Weis - 200 Hale/600 Tank - Diesel/Auto
605 is second out for grass fires for the HFD. Both it and 610 are also equipped with 1 1/2" attack lines for structure fires.
606 - 2009 Freightliner/2018 HFD - 200 Hale/2000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
606 is was built in house by department members in 2018 and acts as the departments heavy brush truck.
610 - 2021 Ford F550/Weis - 200 Hale/500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
610 is the HFDs newest addition and has multiple unique features including SCBA bottle storage, multiple toolboxes for storage, and a very impressive lighting package. 610 was also including in Weis's 2022 calendar!
