Hawley Station 1
The Hawley Fire Department is located about 26 miles north of Enid in rural western Grant County. The department covers 90 sq miles of unincorporated area. The department currently has 21 volunteers and responds to around 80 calls a year. The HFD is the only department in Grant County to not be connected to a municipal government.
Engine 64 - 1996 International/Welch - 1250 Darley/1000 Tank - Diesel/Manual - ex-Epworth, IA
Originally serving Epworth, Iowa as Engine 4, this truck serves as Hawley's only pumper and carries all of the departments structural firefighting equipment. This truck is also equipped with a manual transmission!
Tanker 65 - 1983 Mack DM/HFD - 500 Hale/5000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Presumably serving as an aircraft refueling truck, Hawley received this large tanker from Oklahoma forestry. It is unknown if it served any other departments beforehand but is has been retrofitted with a Hale pump instead of the original type.
Tanker 66 - 1992 Freightliner 6X6/2023 J&J - 200 Hale/5000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
This beast of a tanker is Hawley's newest addition. Not only is it a great asset for water supply, believe it or not this is the dedicated recovery truck for stuck apparatus for area departments.
Rescue 67 - 2003 International 4X4/Horton - 0/0 - Diesel/Auto - ex-Pottery Addition, OH
This truck carries all of the departments extrication equipment as well as rehab supplies for extended operations.
Heavy Brush 63 - 1986 AM General/HFD - 200 Hale/800 Tank - Diesel/Auto
This heavy brush was built in house by department members and before Rescue 67 this carried the departments extrication equipment.
Brush 61 - 2007 Ford F350/Blanchat - 200 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto
Brush 62 - 2012 GMC 3500/HFD/J&J - 200 Hale/200 Tank - Gas/Auto
This truck was built by a combination of department members and J&J Custom Fire.
