Hooker Station 1
The Hooker Fire Department is located in northwestern Texas County and operates seven apparatus out of one station. The department covers an area of approx. 100 sq miles and protects a population of 1700. The department responds to 60 calls a year and currently has 19 volunteers.

Still in active service as a reserve or second out pumper, this truck is almost all original and is reportedly still one of the best pumping trucks in the county, even at 50 years old!
407 - 2011 International/E-One, S.O. 136660 - 1250 Hale/1000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
407 is the first out pumper for the department
406 - 2007 GMC/HFD - 200 Hale/750 Tank - Diesel/Auto
409 - 2013 Caterpillar/HFD - 750 ?/4500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Originally sold as a construction water truck, 409 was delivered with almost everything needed for a tanker, including the top mounted monitor. All the HFD had to do was add lights!
410 - 2013 Ford F550/Weis - 200 Hale/500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
410 acts as the departments rescue unit and carries their battery extrication equipment. It can also respond as a brush truck.
408 - 2018 Ford F550/Weis - 200 Hale/400 Tank - Diesel/Auto
A former Weis demo unit and showcased at FDIC 2018, this unique and mean looking brush truck is the newest addition to the HFD and is first out for grass fires.
