Hough Station 1
The Hough (pronounced “Huff”) Fire Department is located in north central Texas County between Guymon and the Kansas state line, about 6 miles west of Hwy 136. The department was created in 2012 and currently operates 5 apparatus out of one station. The department protects a small community of 23 people and responds to approx. 15 calls a year. The HFD does not have a defined response district as when a fire is reported, the closest 3 departments are dispatched. Hough and Yarborough are usually dispatched together, with Guymon or Hooker responding as well depending on the location.
