Meridian Station 1
The Meridian Fire Department is located in eastern Logan County on Highway 105. The department operates out of this 5 bay station and protects 95 square miles along with a large automatic aid area. The department responds to around 160 calls a year with 14 current volunteers.
Engine 1 - 2018 International 4x4/E-One, S.O. _ - 1250 Hale/1500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Engine 1 is first out for all fire calls that aren't wildland. Currently this is the departments only engine, but there are plans in the future for a second pumping apparatus and turning this truck into a structural tanker. This truck is equipped with a dump chute located in the rear compartment and can access the tighter and rougher roads than larger and heavy tankers, especially in muddy conditions.
Tanker 2 - 1993 Freightliner/Terry Waggoner - 200 Hale/2800 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Tanker 2, along with the rest of the departments original equipment, were built in house mainly by former chief and still current member Terry Waggoner.

Brush Pumper 4 - 2006 Chevy 3500/Terry Waggoner - 200 Hale/350 Tank - Gas/Auto
Rescue 1 - 2011 Chevy Suburban - Gas/Auto - ex-?, NY
Rescue 1 responds to all medical calls and accidents for the department to provide EMS care. The department does not currently have extrication capabilities but the department is currently in the process of purchasing battery powered extrication tools.
