Mooreland Station 1
The Mooreland Fire Department is located in northwestern Woodward County just 15 minutes east of Woodward and operates 9 apparatus out of one central station. The department protects a population of 1300 and covers a mainly rural area of 495 sq miles. The department responds to approx. 150 calls a year and currently has 18 volunteers.
Engine 229 - 2003 Freightliner/American LaFrance, S/N #88290 - 1250 ALF/1000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
This engine responds to all in town fire calls and does not leave city limits. Apart from 226, this is the only other apparatus purchased by the City of Mooreland.
Tanker 228 - 2006 International/Pierce, Job #17357TR - 1000 Pierce/3000 Tank - Diesel/Auto
228 responds to all fire calls outside city limits as an engine as well as responding as a tanker to grass fires or mutual aid requests.
218 - 1996 Stewart-Stevenson/2017 Case Welding - 200 Hale/800 Tank - Diesel/Auto
The was the first all blue unit for the MFD and is nicknamed "Little Brother".
219 - 2008 Freightliner/2017 Case Welding - 200 Hale/1400 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Affectionately known as "Big Brother". This was also the first unit the sport the departments new badging.
222 - 2008 Ford F350/MFD - 200 hale/350 Tank - Gas/Auto
222 is last out for grass fires. This cab & chassis was supplied by forestry which is why it is the only red unit in the MFD fleet.
223 - 2019 Ford F450/MFD - 200 Hale/350 Tank - Gas/Auto
223 is first out for grass fires and is also the dedicated task force unit.
225 - 2012 Chevy 3500/MFD - 350 Hale/300 Tank - Gas/Auto
220 - 2012 Chevy Tahoe
Previously serving as the command unit, 220 now responds to all EMS calls for the MFD.
226 - 2021 Ford F250 - Gas/Auto
226 is the newest addition to the MFD fleet and acts as a command unit.
