Guymon Station 1
The Guymon Fire Department is located in central Texas County in the Oklahoma Panhandle and operates out of two stations. The department covers an area of 7 sq miles within the city with a large area in the county including mutual aid area. The department protects a population of over 12,000 with 24 paid personnel supported by 30 volunteers. The department averages 1500 calls a year.
Station 1 is located in the northeast part of the city and was built in 2013. Station 1 is home to the majority of the departments apparatus and operations as well as a training room, administrative offices, and the department's secretary. Station 1 also houses all of the departments ambulances. Station 1 houses a usual 6 personnel with a max of 8.

Engine 1 responds first due to all vehicle and nuisance fires, as well as structure fires located in the rural area of the departments service area. It can also be staffed by volunteers for in-town fires if needed.
Ladder 1 - 2012 E-One, S.O. 137450 - 2000 Hale/400 Tank/95’ Tower - Diesel/Auto
Ladder 1 responds first due to all other fire calls within the city. This truck is also a former E-One demo.
Tanker - 1984 AM General/2012 Fruehauf - ?/7500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
The departments tanker is affectionately named "Miss Susie" after a former department secretary who had a large impact on the department and its members, often referred to the department mom. After her unfortunate passing, members decided to dedicate this unique build after her and her legacy. Tanker responds with both brush units to all grass fires and rural structure fires as needed, along with mutual aid requests.
Brush 2 - 2016 Ford F550/Steele - 200 Hale/400 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Brush 2 is first out for grass fire for the GFD. It also responds with rescue and carries battery extrication tools.
Brush 3 - 2021 Freightliner/Weis - 200 Hale/1500 Tank - Diesel/Auto
Brush 3 is Guymon's heavy brush and responds with Brush 2 to all grass fires.
Hazmat - 2012 International/Fire Wagon, 2018 Brown - Diesel/Auto
Also supplied by Oklahoma Homeland Security, this is one of two CBRNE units for Region 1. The GFD purchased this trailer in 2018 to store all of their CBRNE equipment, applying a very unique custom wrap as well, and converted the mobile lab and command center CBRNE unit into a TRT trailer. Guymon responds as the hazmat unit for all three counties in the panhandle and frequently responds to semi accidents and fuel spills within the regional response area. The tractor is one of many stationed across the state and can also be attached to the departments Technical Rescue Team trailer, also supplied by Region 1.
Rescue - 2006 Ford F550/Fire Wagon, 2007 B. Foster & Company - 0/0 - Diesel/Auto
One of thirteen small rescue units provided to departments through Oklahoma Homeland Security, this unit is apart of Region 1 Technical Rescue Team operated by the GFD. The department utilizes this pair as their rescue unit and it responds to all vehicle accidents for the department. The pull truck has a fuel tank and additional storage for rescue operations.

The trailer for the departments rescue carries a compliment of hydraulic extrication equipment along with a 20KVW generator, two light towers, and a breathing air compressor and cascade system to refill SCBA bottles.
Medic 1 - 2022 Ford F550/2008 Frazer - Diesel/Auto
The Guymon Fire Department operates one of only two ambulance services in the county and covers an EMS response district of over 1500 miles!
Medic 2 - 2022 Ford F550/2006 Frazer - Diesel/Auto
Medic 1 and Medic 2 were remounted from older GMC Topkick chassis and placed in service in early 2023.
Medic 3 - 2012 Ford F450/Frazer - Diesel/Auto
Running first out for EMS calls on the day of the shoot, the GFD rotates the ambulances out in order to even out and reduce the wear and mileage racked up on the trucks.
Medic 4 - 2024 Ram 5500/Frazer - Diesel/Auto
Medic 4 was placed in service in early 2025 and is a brand new chassis and box.
Command 1 - 2021 Chevy 1500 - Gas/Auto
Command 1 is the Fire Chiefs take home vehicle.
Command 2 - 2022 Ford Explorer - Gas/Auto
Command 2 is the Deputy Chiefs take home vehicle.
